Reporting directly to the Director, Youth and Family Services, the Coordinator, School Age Services will be responsible for the coordination and development of policies and plans for services to school children in the branch libraries. The Coordinator will oversee system-wide planning, guidance and delivery of library services to children including the evaluation of materials; public programming; staff development and in-service training; the creation and editing of printed materials and web pages for school-age children; planning for new services and programs. S/he will ensure that services offered are innovative and responsive to the diverse needs of the multi-lingual/multi-cultural school-aged communities of Brooklyn.
