Overview

Under the direction of Young Adult Internship Coordinator, this full-time position is responsible for providing administrative support, coordinating trainings and enrichment activities, and evaluating the Librarians of Tomorrow and Today’s Teens, Tomorrow Techies Internship programs with support from Volunteer Resources.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordinating workshops, forums, field trips, chat sessions, guest presentations and program showcases 
  • Facilitate trainings and orientations as needed 
  • Maintain program files, registration paperwork and attendance for participants 
  • Assist with the preparation and updating of training materials 
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of volunteer special events and forums 
  • Assist in collecting and organizing data required for program evaluation 
  • Manage relationships with local partners, schools, and other youth development organizations 
  • Mentor and coach youth throughout the internship programs 
  • Plan, supervise and manage programming at the Teen Technology Centers   
  • Help teens to strengthen their communication, collaboration, organizational, and event-planning skills  
  • Enter programming information into Raiser’s Edge system and track participation in the program 
  • Participate in staff meetings, social media outreach and program planning 
  • Other related assignments as needed 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Youth Development or related field is a plus 
  • 1-2 years administrative office experience, especially working with Microsoft Office; database and Adobe suite experience a plus  
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office; database skills; experience with Raiser’s Edge software a plus  
  • Experience in a leadership role with interns, volunteers, or peers 
  • Have commitment to work from a strength based and/or youth development perspective 
  • Have experience working with diverse populations 
  • Be flexible, able to handle multiple competing priorities and tasks, adaptable to change, and able to work effectively in multiple locations  
  • Required to work afternoons, evenings and weekends   

 

This is a full-time, non-union position. The compensation range for this position is $41,600-45,000.
