We are currently seeking a Part-Time Clerk to provide administrative assistance to the Finance Department. The Finance Department comprises of 15 team members that the Clerk will work closely with on a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.  The Clerk is an essential part of the check verification process, filing and processing. This position reports to the Finance Department Associate.

Responsibilities

  • Verify ‘Check Log’ entries using the Library-dedicated financial system
  • Provide support with check logbooks and deposit slips
  • Answer & direct incoming telephone calls
  • Scan and file documents
  • Assist with processing purchase order requests using Infor Lawson software; Maintain and file purchase orders and contracts as per company guidelines
  • Distribute payroll checks on payday
  • Support Finance staff with various projects as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of clerical experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently on programs and projects
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image

 

The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, up to 19 hours a week. The salary range for this position is $16 - $18 per hour.
