Brooklyn Public Library Services for Older Adults is seeking applications for our part-time Senior Assistant program. Senior Assistants will provide quality programs for older adults at designated branches of the Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) and at senior sites throughout Brooklyn.
Under the direction of the Services for Older Adults Program Assistant, the Senior Assistant will assist in building meaningful social engagement to Brooklyn’s diverse 50 + audience. Senior Assistants must be willing to travel to their assigned branch, senior sites, and be available to present programs on the assigned dates. A two to four hour commitment is required for each session. Senior Assistants must also be able to facilitate programs virtually on Zoom,Teams,etc.
This is a part-time position. Hours for this position are up to 10 hours per week at $15 per hour.
