The Center for Brooklyn History (CBH) is Brooklyn Public Library’s nationally recognized research library and public history institution. Free and open to all, CBH provides visitors with dynamic ways to connect with Brooklyn’s story through its historical collections, enlightening programs, educational resources, and wide-ranging exhibitions. CBH opens the door to Brooklyn’s history--every visit is an opportunity to learn something new.
CBH houses a world-renowned special collections and archives library on the second floor of its landmark building on Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights. The Othmer Library’s magnificent reading room with its stained-glass windows and carved wooden columns transports the visitor to an earlier era and connects them to the most comprehensive repository of materials related to Brooklyn history in the world.
The Digital Collections and Access Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of managing CBH’s digital archives, including public access and the online presence of the physical collections, ensuring they are accessible and representative of the overall mission of the Center.
The schedule is 35 hours per week and this position reports to the Director of Special Collections. This position is hybrid, with an in-office work minimum of four days a week. This is a non-union, exempt position. The salary range for this position is $75,000-78,000.
