The Circulation Manager serves as a liaison between the branch staff, BPL departments and administrators to provide quality library services to the entire community. The Circulation Manager will also evaluate, supervise and train staff as assigned.

We are seeking a part-time floater Case Manager to support the needs of HSE participants at various programming sites. The case manager will help ensure that our program participants are knowledgeable of free programs/ resources that will help alleviate any barriers to completing their educational goals.  

The Young Adult Librarian, under the overall supervision of the Neighborhood Library Supervisor, works as part of the branch team and performs basic library work concentrating on service to Young Adults and their parents and caregivers.   This position requires professional knowledge and judgment, including, but not limited to, reference and reader’s advisory services, collection development, and individual/group programming. The schedule is 35 hours per week and reports directly to the Library Information Supervisor.

Reporting to the Central Library Director and Assistant Director and working closely with the Director of Customer Experience, the Central Library Collections Manager is charged with managing special projects relating to Central Library’s collections and deck storage levels. These projects include: assisting Central librarians with conducting regularly scheduled weeding and as-needed inventory assignments; working on special collections projects, coordinating the shifting of collections to accommodate renovation projects; overseeing and providing quality control for librarian staff assigned to specific collections assignments; and consulting with Enterprise Applications and the Circulation Department to ensure that items and their metadata are properly handled during these projects.    This is a non-union, exempt position. The compensation range for this position is $72,000-75,000.

Part of serving patrons, is to revitalize the AAHC by upgrading the materials collections as well as providing library patrons with programs and events that are culturally, academically and socially engaging.    The hours for this position is up to 19 hours a week and the hourly rate is $20 an hour.

Senior Assistants are a part of the departmental team to provide quality public library service and identify community needs to the Older Adult community. Administrative tasks and day-to-day activities include data entry; filing; maintaining the materials collection, preparing and distributing promotional fliers; answering telephone calls; and preparing correspondences. This is a part-time position. The schedule for this position is 10-15 hours per week, compensated at $15.00 per hour.
