The Brooklyn Public Library Adult Learning Program provides student centered adult literacy services throughout Brooklyn communities. We are seeking a part-time floater Adult Literacy Education (ALE) Case Manager to support the needs of participants at various programming sites. The case manager will help ensure that our program participants are knowledgeable of free programs/ resources that will help alleviate any barriers to completing their educational goals.
The Brooklyn Public Library Adult Learning Program provides student-centered adult literacy services throughout the Brooklyn communities. We are seeking a part-time Literacy Zone Resource Specialist for our Family Welcome Center located at New Lots Adult Learning Center and for the Integrated English Lit. & Civics Education IEL/CE program. Under the guidance of the case managers, the resource specialist will help ensure that our neighborhood community partners and program participants are aware of our free programs that meets their needs by facilitating relationships with community partners.
The Brooklyn Public Library Adult Learning Program (ESOL) is seeking a Program Assistant to assist program participants improve their English skills and earn an industry recognized credential in our Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education ESOL classes. In addition, support learners in-person and/or via Zoom, provide consistent and responsive feedback and support to classroom instructors and participants at one of BPL’s branches. They will be responsible for coaching and motivating participants, assisting learners with Google classroom, and other electronic tools. The Program Assistant, under the guidance of the ESOL coordinator, monitors, data entry and supports participant’s progress and work collaboratively with instructional staff to ensure program quality and goals are being met.
The Program Associate is a grant funded position within Brooklyn Public Library’s Adult Learning Program department. The Program Associate will perform general administrative support for the Adult Learning Education (ALE) contract. Administrative tasks and day to day activities include: data entry, creating and maintaining electronic tracking systems via ASISTS; filing; assisting with program registrations as needed. The program seeks someone who will be responsible for providing phone and/or email support and will work closely with key program data staff. In addition, the program associate will process and enter all data for all ALE classes (15 per cycle) for three quarters.
The Brooklyn Public Library Adult Learning Program is seeking Program Assistant to assist WIOA program participants earn their HSE diploma through one of the four pathways (TASC, Regents, NEDP, etc.). In addition, co-facilitate small group instruction in a mixed level classroom, provide consistent and responsive feedback and support to classroom instructors at one of BPL’s Adult Learning Center. He/she will be responsible for coaching students, work collaboratively with instructional staff to ensure their needs are being met. The Program Assistant, under the guidance of the Adult Learning Center Literacy Advisor/Floater Literacy Advisor, monitors and supports participant’s progress and work collaboratively with instructional staff to ensure program quality and goals are being met.
