The Junior Library Custodian’s main responsibility is the cleaning and maintenance of Library buildings and grounds (including interior, exterior, and roofs), and performing custodial tasks.

The Assistant Controller plays a key role in the day-to-day management of the accounting functions of the Library, including monthly reconciliation and closing of Library’s financial records. The Assistant Controller also directly oversees the Library’s accounts payable and general ledger functions.
Brooklyn Public Library's Adult Learning Centers are seeking dedicated and skilled HSE instructors to prepare participants for the workforce, TASC exam, and the NEDP remotely via Zoom and Google Classroom.
The HSE instructor will develop, revise, and evaluate curriculum to meet the needs of the participants. Virtual classroom instruction incorporates self-paced, computerized instruction, small group learning exercises, videos, and provides classroom instruction in a variety of fields at several levels. The ability to develop lessons using extensive writing and reading practice in the content areas of science and social studies using CUNY's HSE curriculum. The Capital Projects Coordinator is responsible for the supporting the Department of Capital Planning and Facilities Management (CPFM) with the efficient execution of capital projects. The Capital Projects Coordinator will maintain a scope/schedule/budget tracking system for all CPFM projects, provide logistical support on active projects, and communicate project status to BPL departments and external stakeholders. This position reports to the VP, Capital Planning & Facilities Management (VP CPFM), and will assist the VP CPFM in performing project analytics and developing long-term capital project strategy.
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for working with the Human Resources (HR) Department to analyze, design, build, test, deliver and maintain reports, dashboards and other data extracts requested. The position requires an understanding of reporting tools for ERP HR/Payroll software, ERP data models and architecture, and SQL table queries and design in order to be successful. Proficiency with Crystal Reports, and Lawson ERP related applications such as LBI, HR Report Writer and MS Addins a plus. The HRIS Analyst will be responsible for working on issues as reported and working as part of project teams.
The HRIS Analyst is part of the Information Technology (IT) Department and supports the Human Resources & Finance Department end users at the organization.
The Special Officer’s responsibilities is to oversee and provide a safe and secure environment for employees and customers The Special Officer will parole the Library’s grounds to maintain order, preserve the peace and safeguard life and property against fire, vandalism, thefts, etc. Will enforce Library policy and procedure and assist in resolving critical situations peaceably.
It is also the responsibility of the Special Officer to inspect the bags and packages of employees and customers entering the building. Provide and recommend appropriate discipline for procedural violators.
