The Brooklyn Public Library Adult Learning Program provides student-centered adult literacy services throughout Brooklyn communities. We are seeking a full-time floater Case Manager to support the needs of WIOA HSE participants within the Literacy Zone Welcome Center at the New Lots Library. The LZ case manager will help ensure that program participants are knowledgeable of free programs/ resources that will help alleviate any barriers to completing their educational goals. They will work collaboratively with the WIOA HSE admin team and instructors to ensure participants’ needs are being met. This role will work closely and under the guidance of the Literacy Zone coordinator onsite.

The Teaching Assistant, under the guidance of the Student Advisor, monitors and supports the participant’s progress and works collaboratively with instructional staff to ensure program quality and goals are being met. This is a floating position and will need to travel to various program sites.

Brooklyn Public Library's Adult Learning Centers are seeking dedicated and skilled HSE instructors to prepare participants for the workforce, help improve their reading and math skills based on the TABE assessment and ready to successfully implement those skills on the GED exam. The HSE instructor will review and evaluate participant's TABE analysis to craft lessons based on their needs. Classroom instruction incorporates self-paced, computerized instruction, small group learning exercises, videos, and provides classroom instruction in a variety of fields at several levels.  The ability to develop lessons using extensive writing and reading practice in the content areas of science and social studies using CUNY's HSE curriculum. We are seeking someone who is passionate about making a difference in their community by developing adults to their fullest potential while working collaboaratively with an instructional team (co-teacher, case manager, and teaching assistant). Teachers co-teach and some classes are hybrid.

The Program Associate will perform general administrative support, responsible for providing data management and data entry support.
